The Alamance NAACP advocates for social justice in multiple ways. While we often engage in direct action through rallies and marching, at the heart of what we do is long-term advocacy for sustained change.

Our members maintain an ongoing prominent presence at school board, Board of Elections, city council, county commissioner and other community meetings to challenge and overturn issues that marginalize and undermine our citizens locally and/or nationally.

The majority of our work is done through committees,  who meet regularly and bring information to our Executive Committee and to the general membership during our monthly membership meeting.

Learn About Our Committees

The Alamance NAACP is funded entirely by community members through membership, donations and events. Adult annual memberships are $35 and Youth memberships are $10.
